Gateway Women's Shelter Charity Event, 2009

As pagans, and especially as an ADF protogrove, we hold community to be very important to us. Aiding the community that we live in and work with is a worthwhile cause and a worthwhile goal. To that end, we held a Charity Event for the Gateway Women's Shelter on December 5, 2009. We had a raffle, open auction, and many individual divinations and other services that we gave in exchange for donations. We also had a wonderful time meeting new people and being together with old friends!

Check out our List of Donors page for more information on the donations we received!

We held a ritual to help women in trouble find the courage to seek help. This was our altar for the rite.

Two of the attendees of our function have an interesting chat.

John... being John.

Tony's wondering where all the color went!

Ah, there it is! John and Jorja prepare before the beginning of the event. Jorja put quite a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the event, to make it a success!

Another shot of the ritual space. We had a low ceiling, but that didn't stop us!

Ena and her son Jackson take a moment to read one of the many books lying about.

Playing at one of the low tables.

Cynthia takes a few crackers from the generous supply of food.

It's time to begin! Places!

Tony works his massage magic on one of the attendees for a donation.

Randy smiles, happy to be with us.

Two conspirators by the stairwell of the Gypsy House Cafe's basement.

Therese came from Gateway to speak with us about the shelter before our auction began.

John shows off one of the auction pieces in typical John fashion.
